Estrogen is the primary female sex hormone and plays several roles in your body. The principal function of estrogen is to help control your menstrual cycle. Estrogen is produced in your eggs, adrenal glands, and fat tissue. After menopause, adrenal glands make a little.

Three types of estrogen can change throughout each stage of your life:

  1. Estrone (which is in child-bearing women)
  2. Estradiol (which is during pregnancy)
  3. Estriol (which is most common after menopause)

Although estrogen has a vital role in reproduction. It goes up and down in a menstrutal cycle. It is given for IVF. Estrogen is essential  for healthy  bones, cognitive, and cardiovascular health.
